John Cena’s Favorite Drink Is One He Initially Hated

John Cena once chose a glass of chocolate milk over what eventually became his favorite drink.

Ahead of his retirement match, 17-time WWE Champion John Cena sat down for an interview with Chris Van Vliet on his INSIGHT podcast. During the conversation, Cena revealed that a pint of Guinness is his go-to drink.

“A pint of Guinness, fella. Yes, the pint of the plain. Thank you, Sheamus.”

However, John Cena was not a fan of the drink when he tried his first pint back in 2003. A wrestling fan shared a clip from WWE Confidential on X/Twitter that showed Cena drinking Guinness for the first time with former WWE United States Champion Fit Finlay. Cena didn’t like how it tasted and asked the bartender to bring him a glass of chocolate milk instead.

Cena also recently revealed that he was 26 years old when he had his first drink and that it was with a WWE legend.

John Cena Comments On A Potential WWE Commentary Run After In-Ring Retirement

During a recent interview with The Ringer’s Bill Simmons, John Cena stated that he’ll always remain with WWE in a non-wrestling capacity.

“You’ll see me at WWE events,” Cena said. “I’m going to be involved as long as they will have me until I am need to until I need to be replaced. But I will look like this (wearing a suit and tie).”

However, when asked if he’d consider becoming a commentator, John Cena said he won’t be able to commit to the role due to its full-time requirements.

“I would love to do it,” he said. “I think the announcing crew we have now. I’m such a big fan of Stu Bennett. I think he’s carving out an excellent legacy for himself. I know Michael Cole’s getting a little long in the tooth. He’s probably wanting to move on. I would love to sit at the table. I think we have — and I love listening to Big E call.

“You have to have the time to regularly commit to be an announcer. Like, I know Pat McAfee struggled with that. He split himself in a bunch of different directions, and gosh, I don’t blame anybody for going until you can’t go, But, like, he didn’t have it in the tank. Like, he can’t be — you can’t be everywhere at once,” John Cena said. [H/T WrestlingInc]
