When will The Samoan Werewolf Jacob Fatu return to WWE programming?
On the October 17 episode of WWE SmackDown, Jacob Fatu was advertised for a match against Drew McIntyre. The winner would become the new number one contender for Cody Rhodes’ WWE Championship. However, the match never ended up taking place. As Fatu was mysteriously attacked backstage, left underneath a giant steel structure surrounded by blood and his own teeth.
That weekend, it was reported that Fatu was written off WWE programming due to a “dental procedure.” Noting that he wouldn’t be cleared to compete until later in the year. But as we approach the final weeks of 2025, we now have an update on Fatu’s status.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, backstage talk at Survivor Series over the weekend suggested that Jacob Fatu is close to returning to WWE programming following his dental procedure in October. One source believes Fatu could be back on the road for the company in the next few weeks.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on Fatu’s WWE status as it becomes available.
Who took out Jacob Fatu?
With Jacob Fatu being taken out by a mystery attacker on WWE SmackDown, it appears his return feud has already been decided.
While smart money would be on Drew McIntyre, his opponent that evening, being the culprit who took him out, McIntyre insists that he’s innocent.
It will be interesting to see what direction WWE chooses to take this storyline when Fatu returns to SmackDown later this month.
