Stephanie McMahon Reveals Role At John Cena’s Final Match

Stephanie McMahon won’t just be a face in the crowd at John Cena‘s final match, as she revealed that she’ll have a special role on the show.

John Cena’s last match will take place at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C. on December 13. McMahon has been seen sitting ringside for many memorable events in recent WWE history, but she says she’ll have an on-air role for Cena’s farewell match.

During a Survivor Series weekend interview with WWE’s Megan Morant, McMahon revealed that she will be co-hosting Saturday Night’s Main Event with RAW’s Joe Tessitore.

“Well I’m actually co-hosting with Joe Tessitore,” Stephanie McMahon said. “So, I’m going to have to reign those emotions in a little bit.”

Stephanie McMahon is blessed to have been part of John Cena’s impressive journey

McMahon went on to say that she hasn’t thought about her feelings about Cena’s retirement very much, noting that she’s really thinking about John first.

“But I have to say, I have had the most unbelievable blessings in my life. And to be there to see a star be born and then see that star go out on their shield, so to speak, it’s such a privilege. It’s something that I can’t really put into words. I’ve never really even thought about it so much from my perspective. But to be a part of this business in any way is special, especially to know someone and to have been a part of such a remarkable journey.”

John Cena’s final opponent is down to four options in the Last Time Is Now tournament. The remaining competitors include Jey Uso, LA Knight, Solo Sikoa and Gunther. Two semifinals matches will take place on RAW; the winner of Uso/Knight will go on to the finals to face the winner of Solo/Gunther.
