A former WWE star believes John Cena is not retiring for good.
During her recent appearance on TMZ’s Inside The Ring, CJ Perry addressed John Cena’s ongoing retirement tour. She stated that his retirement is just a gimmick and that she doesn’t believe Cena, The Undertaker, and Triple H are all retired.
“I mean, please, the biggest worker of them all is John Cena. I will never believe that John Cena or The Undertaker are retiring, or Triple H. I just think it’s a gimmick,” Perry said.
“They’re all retiring because it’s the gimmick. We’re all gonna buy the merchandise, we’re all gonna buy the towels. Of course, I’m gonna go buy the towel, and the cup, and everything because God forbid this is his last time, and I don’t want to be that person to be like, ‘Oh yeah, he’s coming back,’ and then it never happens. But I hope he’s not done. I would be really sad.”
CJ Perry’s Husband, Rusev, Also Doesn’t Believe John Cena Is Retiring
While speaking on SHAK Wrestling earlier this month, former WWE United States Champion Rusev also stated that he doesn’t believe John Cena is retiring for good.
“I’ve traveled the world with John Cena,” Rusev said. “I fought him all over the world. The man never took a day off. He never took a match off. He was out there performing 30 minutes a night. I don’t believe it. I’m not holding my breath. I love John, and this may be his last match of this century or whatnot. But at some point, like I want to see him back, whenever that is.”
