Triple H highlighted one of Andre the Giant’s biggest personal achievements while giving a tour of WWE’s new headquarters.
Triple H recently walked host Joe La Puma through WWE’s new headquarters on Complex’s On Display, showing off the massive collection of rare wrestling memorabilia inside the building. The new building, which replaced Titan Towers a few years ago, now has nearly $2 million worth of WWE collectibles and memorabilia.
The Game said the building has its own special flair, but one item clearly meant the most to him, Andre the Giant’s original Halliburton briefcase. During the tour, La Puma reacted with surprise when he saw the briefcase, which was covered in Andre’s humorous bumper stickers.
Triple H smiled and said, “That’s one of my favorite things we have here.” La Puma joked that the stickers looked like Andre was sending a message. The Game responded by reciting one of the stickers, “Yeah, if I wanted to hear from asshole, I would have farted.”
The briefcase still holds Andre’s belongings exactly as he left them, including his press kit from The Princess Bride. Triple H explained that changing anything inside the case wouldn’t feel right.
“I feel like it’s bad juju if you were to remove anything from this case to display it differently. I feel like it should be left the way it was.”
La Puma then pointed out that Andre was proud of his role in The Princess Bride and carried the same briefcase with him while traveling. Triple H agreed, explained, “This was his travel briefcase. I think when he got toward the end, he wasn’t traveling so much.”
He said Andre the Giant began storing the things closest to his heart inside it.
“Princess Bride was one of his biggest achievements to him… So the fact that it is the way he left it, and still with that in there, you know, to me just makes it that much more special.”‘
