Dustin Rhodes has shared a strong message following the recent backstage drama involving Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize at AEW Collision.
PWInsider reported that Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize left the arena shortly before AEW Collision began after learning their match was only allotted three minutes and refused to lose.
A subsequent report from Fightful Select revealed that Newell and Alize didn’t refuse to lose the match, but asked for more time once they found out it was limited to three minutes. Their scheduled match was later replaced, with Maya World and Hyan taking their place against TayJay.
However, earlier this week, Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize explained their side of the story during a Twitch stream, saying they handled everything respectfully. They have no bad blood with AEW following their backstage drama.
Both stars felt a three-minute match wouldn’t help anyone involved and wanted to give the spot to others instead. They mentioned that the decision to leave AEW Collision was mutual and professional.
After the situation made headlines, Dustin Rhodes appeared to share his opinion on X, formerly known as Twitter, without mentioning names. He wrote, “When you get an opportunity to perform on television, you say yes! You do exactly what the company wants/WITH A GREAT ATTITUDE. Otherwise, good luck in ur future endeavors. #KeepSteppin #WorkEthic #Passion #Opportunity.”
While Dustin Rhodes didn’t directly mention Newell or Alize, many believe his post was aimed at them and what happened on AEW Collision.
