Sol Ruca is finally coming back to the ring after being medically cleared to compete at WWE NXT Gold Rush.
The former double champion will make her in-ring return at WWE NXT Gold Rush following weeks of recovery from injury. Last month, Sol Ruca, who held both the NXT Women’s North American Championship and the Women’s Speed Championship. She announced that she had suffered an injury ahead of her title defense against Blake Monroe at Halloween Havoc.
As a result, Zaria stepped in to defend the title in her place but lost to Blake Monroe, costing Ruca the North American Championship despite Ruca not being pinned. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the only setback. Due to her injury, Sol Ruca also had to vacate the Women’s Speed Championship, which led to a tournament being announced to crown a new champion.
Once a double champion, Sol Ruca suddenly found herself without a title. However, on WWE NXT, Sol and Zaria met with Ava in her office, where Ava confirmed that she had been cleared to compete and will get her rematch for North American title against Blake Monroe.
Ava warned Sol Ruca not to return to action too soon and reminded her that it was her choice since she was cleared. However, the former double champion quickly decided she wanted to wrestle right away.
Although Zaria advised her to wait and Ava suggested having the match at WWE NXT Deadline, Sol Ruca insisted she was ready to compete. Ava eventually agreed to clear her, ensuring she fully understood the risks.
