Rhea Ripley has reacted to her surprise comeback on WWE television.
Mami appeared following the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship main event on RAW this week. Ripley arrived to help Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, and IYO SKY fend off The Kabuki Warriors, Nia Jax, and Lash Legend.
After the brawl, Ripley grabbed the mic and announced a WarGames match featuring all eight women. The former Women’s World Champion later took to social media to comment on her WWE return after IYO SKY posted their backstage photos.
“We’re back baby ❤️ Ready for WAR!,” she wrote.
Ripley had been sidelined with a broken nose prior to her return. She suffered the injury during WWE’s tour of Japan last month. It’s worth noting that Ripley wore a face mask during her appearance last night on the red brand.
The current lineup for the Women’s WarGames match features Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, IYO SKY, and Rhea Ripley against Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax, and Lash Legend. Reports suggest AJ Lee and Becky Lynch are expected to round out the multi-woman matchup.
AJ Lee hasn’t appeared in WWE since teaming with CM Punk against Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins at WrestlePalooza. As for Lynch, she’s scheduled to defend her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Maxxine Dupri next Monday on RAW.
