Eric Bischoff Reveals What John Cena Did To Win Him Over

Eric Bischoff recently shared a touching story about John Cena that completely changed his opinion of the WWE legend.

Bischoff’s story, which also involved Hulk Hogan, goes back to 2004 and showed John Cena’s true character and respect for others. Cena, who is now on his retirement tour, recently returned on WWE RAW for his final appearance in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.

During the emotional night, he said goodbye to his hometown fans. He also made history by becoming a Grand Slam Champion. Cena defeated Dominik Mysterio, who interrupted him, leading to a title match made official by Triple H, who also introduced Cena to the fans.

Reacting to Cena’s farewell segment on WWE RAW, Eric Bischoff shared a story on X, formerly known as Twitter about how Cena first earned his respect. He wrote, “In 2004, I was with Hulk at Mardis Gras. Hulk was the celebrity grand marshal for the Krewe of Bacchus. At the height of the celebration following the parade, we had a private suite overlooking the spectacle of the post parade insanity below as we watched the crazy from the balcony.”

He continued, “Fully catered and stocked. Security came to me and said there was someone at the door who was determined to say hello to Hulk. It was @JohnCena . He came to pay respect and say hello. Not to share the attention, enjoy the perks. Just pay respect. That’s when I became a John Cena fan.”
