Elijah is ready to play his latest song.
TNA announced that Elijah will appear on the November 13 episode of IMPACT. TNA announced Elijah will appear on next week’s show during Thursday’s Open Fight Night special. They didn’t advertise him for an in-ring return, but announced he will perform a live concert instead.
In addition to the concert, TNA also announced that Jason Hotch vs. Cedric Alexander would take place on the show, which airs live from Full Sail University in Orlando on Thursday, November 13.
Where has Elijah been?
Elijah has been recovering from a torn triceps since June. He suffered the injury on the June 17 episode of NXT in a six-man tag team match against AJ Francis, Trick Williams and Wes Lee. He made a cameo at Bound For Glory, smashing a guitar over Frankie Kazarian’s head, but has not been seen since then.
During a recent interview with WrestleZone, he said that his in-ring return is up to his doctors, but he was hopeful he could compete at one of TNA’s upcoming TV tapings. Even if that’s not the case, he teased that he was healthy enough to use his guitar again.
“I’m feeling pretty good right now. But ultimately, it’s a surgeon and doctor call for me,” he continued. “I am supposed to see them relatively soon. I’ve told them I want to be good to go by Orlando in, what do we got here, about three weeks? But again, it’s not ultimately my call.
“If that was the case, if they gave me the go-ahead, I’m by in the mix and I’m good to go. And if not by Orlando, I’d love to do it by El Paso. And I think I’m at least healthy enough to play a song or smash somebody with a guitar if I have to.”
TNA is in Orlando, Florida, from November 13-15 and in El Paso, Texas from December 5-7. Tickets for each event are on sale now.
