Major Injury To Affect Multiple AEW Matches Next Month

An AEW star got some bad news injury-wise tonight on Dynamite, casting some doubt over what the future of AEW’s women’s tag division looks like.

During Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, it was announced that Penelope Ford would be out indefinitely. Ford suffered a UCL tear, forcing her to be out for the foreseeable future. In her place, Marina Shafir stepped up to replace Ford as Megan Bayne’s partner in the ongoing Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament. This match will take place in the coming weeks.

Ford was last seen in the ring last week, competing in a four-way tag team match. This is where the injury took place. Currently, it’s unclear how long Ford will be out for.
