Update On Private Party’s AEW Status — Report

A new report has shed some light on what the status of Private Party is as they continue to remain away from AEW since the beginning of the year.

According to a new report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, both Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy remain under contract with AEW. Although the duo haven’t wrestled since January, the pair remains with the company as of now. However, their contract expirations remain unknown as of now.

Fightful’s report also touches briefly on the pair’s sudden bulking up in physique. One reason for that, reportedly, is that The Hurt Syndicate are said to be big fans of the duo. The report mentions that MVP’s group “advised” Private Party to begin working out more. The report also mentions that Hurt Syndicate as a whole have been “very helpful” to the tag team.

Earlier this year, a report from Fightful suggested that WWE had “preliminary interest” in the duo. This new report doesn’t clarify that, so it’s unknown whether or not the tag team would ever make the jump.
