It sounds like former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega is keeping himself busy when he’s not competing inside the squared circle.
The ongoing partnership between AEW and DC Comics is full steam ahead as we approach next month’s Full Gear pay-per-view. DC Comics is sponsoring the event, and next year, we will see a two-issue comic series where the worlds of AEW and DC Comics collide. Although it appears both sides are getting a head start on this exciting collaboration.
The “Absolute” DC Comics series has captured fans’ imagination this year as the writers are reimagining the stories of your favorite DC heroes and villains. It was recently pointed out that Batman can be seen performing a One-Winged Angel on the pages of this comic.
This panel caught the attention of Kenny Omega, who took to social media to make a startling revelation: he IS Batman!
It should be noted that Omega is likely just kidding around and shouldn’t be taken as a confirmation that he has been cast as Batman in James Gunn’s DCU.
Jon Moxley isn’t a fan of Batman
Kenny Omega’s ties to the caped crusader shouldn’t be all that surprising, as Jon Moxley has made it clear in a recent interview with The Sportster that Batman wouldn’t be welcome in the Death Riders.
“I wouldn’t have Batman,” Jon Moxley said. “At a certain point, like, are you just not gonna kill the Joker? It’s getting ridiculous. I’m a pragmatist. It’s just come on, what are we doing here? I just can’t get with that. One chance, maybe two. Okay, by the third time you’ve escaped Arkham and gone on a murdering spree, like, would you shoot him? Somebody f*cking shoot him.”
