Mexican Wrestling legend Blue Demon Jr. was involved in a serious car accident earlier this week.
The news was first shared by the International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) on their official Facebook page. In their statement, IWRG confirmed, “Blue Demon Jr suffered a serious car accident. Therefore he will not appear this coming Thursday, October 30 at the Castle of Terror 2025. However, keep an eye on our social networks as we will inform you who will take your place in the “coffin fight” for the Full Weight Championship.”
“We send the best of the vibes and speedy recovery to our legend. In the same way, the fans are asked to understand and send encouragement to our dear Blue Demon jr, here at his house “La Arena Naucalpan” we are waiting for him very soon with a lot of love.”
The 59-year-old wrestling legend was scheduled to compete in a casket match. He was schedule for the IWRG World Heavyweight Championship at the Castle of Terror event on October 30. However, due to the accident, he will no longer be able to participate.
Blue Demon Jr.’s representatives also posted an update on his official Instagram page. His team confirmed that he is in stable condition and out of danger. His team thanked fans and the media for their support. They asked for privacy while he continues to recover.
Demon Jr’s team released a statement saying, “We inform the public & the media that during Monday Evening, Blue Demon Jr. suffered a car accident. Fortunately, he is stable & out of danger. He is in intensive therapy receiving the medical attention and the needed follow ups. We thank all the support & worries expressed, as well as the privacy during the healing process. In case of any existing updates, we will inform them through these means, or in the best of cases, from Blue Demon Jr. himself.”
