A new update has revealed the status of former WWE star Tegan Nox after her surprise appearance on AEW Collision.
On the October 25 episode of AEW Collision taping saw Tegan Nox, now using her former ring name Nixon Newell, appeared alongside Miranda Alize in a backstage segment. The two confronted Tay Melo and Anna Jay, known as TayJay, in a surprise moment that caught fans’ attention.
Following their appearance, fans immediately began to wonder if AEW had signed the duo to official contracts. However, new reports suggest otherwise. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shared that Newell and Alize are not officially signed with AEW. He explained that their appearance was likely a opportunity to get an deal with the company.
Meltzer said, “I didn’t get the impression that they’re signed to a deal so much as that they’re being brought in for a tag team match, and you know, kind of like, if you do good, you know, whatever. I haven’t heard that they’re signed or anything, but we’ll see.” [H/T: ewrestlingnews]
After the backstage confrontation between Tegan Nox and Miranda Alize with TayJay. They agree to a have a tag team match, but AEW has not yet announced when or where it will take place.
