AEW Star Reveals He’s Been Battling Injuries After Recent Matches

MVP admitted he’s been feeling physically worn down after getting injured in his recent AEW matches.

On his Marking Out podcast, the AEW star talked about his pre-show routine and praised the company’s medical team. He also revealed that he’s been dealing with a few injuries that have been bothering him lately.

MVP said his first injury happened during the wild Street Fight on the 7th October edition of AEW Dynamite, where The Hurt Syndicate faced The Demand. He injured his neck during the match, saying, “My neck’s been bothering me since the street fight. Got a little whiplash from that Ricochet dive.”

The following week, MVP got hurt again during another AEW segment, this time cutting his wrist on table. Despite the setbacks, he continues to follow a strict pre-show routine that includes working with AEW’s trainers to manage his injuries.

“Usually, you stop in for the trainers, sign up on the list to get a designated time to come in and get whatever work you need; stretch, electronic stim, whatever you need, they got you. I’m gonna go get my bandage changed in a little bit and get my neck worked on before showtime.” [H/T: sescoops]

Even with the pain, MVP isn’t slowing down as he was in action on last week’s AEW Dynamite. The Hurt Syndicate took on The Opps for the Trios Titles, but his team lost the match and missed their chance to win the titles.
