A TNA star who recently returned to television is currently working without a contract.
Earlier this year, Rich Swann had quietly left TNA after his contract expired. The former TNA (IMPACT Wrestling) World Champion remained on good terms with the company and ultimately returned to television in July 2025.
Many TNA wrestlers have been signed to short-term contracts as of late, but a new report by Fightful (via Fightful Select) revealed that Swann is not one of those names. The outlet shared that Swann, as well as “a number of other wrestlers,” is actually working for TNA on a per-appearance basis.
Swann reunited with AJ Francis in Fir$t Cla$$, the stable he’d originally been part of in early 2024. He was removed from the group and pulled from television due to entering a substance abuse rehab program. The rehab stay was linked to a June 2024 incident where Swann was arrested for disorderly public intoxication. Swann rejoined Francis when KC Navarro, who originally replaced Swann in the group, was sidelined after tearing his ACL.
Rich Swann is a former Impact World Champion, X Division Champion and Digital Media Champion. His tenure with TNA originally began in 2018.
