Goldberg Throws Shade At WWE For Letting ‘Some Girl’ Break His Win Streak Record

Goldberg still isn’t pleased with his record being shattered.

Amongst Goldberg’s most memorable accomplishments is his undefeated streak, which spanned a reported 173 wins in WCW. Fast forward to the 2010s, Asuka surpassed the WWE Hall of Famer’s win streak record by racking up win after win across 914 days in WWE.

During his appearance on Real Talk with Mike Burke, host Mike Burke noted that Goldberg’s streak would likely never be replicated. Begrudgingly, Goldberg poured cold water on that claim, pointing out that WWE had already orchestrated and completed another successful winning streak, in that case for Asuka.

“Some girl at WWE. They did it on purpose,” Goldberg said (H/T Fightful). “I have nothing against the girl, by any means, but yeah. The whole WWE experience…I was part of WCW when we were kicking their ass in the Monday Night Wars. I didn’t know what was going on at the time, I was just on one of the sides. Now, one side dissolves and the other one consumes everything, so they can treat everyone and everything the way they want.

“I think there is always going to be the bird in their ass that I was part of a company where I was the champion in a very short period of time and we were beating them in the ratings.”

During his respective streak, Goldberg captured the WCW United States and World Heavyweight Championships. In hers, Asuka enjoyed one reign as NXT Women’s Champion and a call-up to WWE’s main roster.
