Omos, makes his surprising WWE return after a year away from the company.
The 7-foot giant returned to the company at an NXT live event in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday night. During the show, Omos confronted former NXT Heritage Cup Champion Lexis King.
The confrontation saw King trash-talk the 7-foot giant by pushing him. In retaliation, Omos push him on to the ground. When King charged at him, Omos overpowered him with a massive chokeslam, defeating him in a one-sided squash match.
This was Omos’ first WWE match since April 2024, when he competed in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, won by Bronson Reed. During his absence from WWE, Omos has wrestled several independent companies.
He wrestled in Pro Wrestling NOAH a few months ago, and won the Copa Bardahl gauntlet match at AAA TripleMania XXXIII. Now that Omos is back in WWE, it will be interesting to see if he will appear regularly on the roster.
Interestingly, following his match at TripleMania XXXIII, WWE Shop listed him on official merchandise by calling him an “AAA Superstar” and featuring the AAA logo, confirming his addition to the lucha libre roster.
