Hulk Hogan Having Pinellas Trail Named After Him In Florida

Florida is getting ready to honor the late Hulk Hogan by renaming a piece of land after him.

The state will be renaming the Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail to honor the late WWE Hall of Famer. The name of the trail will now be “Hulk Hogan Trail.” Previously, the rail trail in Pinellas County, Florida, was named after Fred Marquis, a former County Administrator who served for over two decades from 1979 to 2000.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis made the announcement at Hogan’s Hangout earlier this afternoon. Also in attendance were Hogan’s wife, Sky, his son Nick, Jimmy Hart, and other members of the family.

“This is something that my dad would be so, so proud of,” Nick said (via Fightful). “Because Clearwater was always home for him. No matter how far he traveled around the world or where his career took him, he always was grounded here. And he loved this community, he loved the people here. So to know that a piece of the Clearwater trail has been dedicated in his honor is something that he would be so, so, so proud of and so happy about.”
