Bully Ray Questions the Impact of John Cena Beating This WWE Star in a Rematch

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray doesn’t see any point in a rematch between John Cena and Brock Lesnar.

Last month at WWE WrestlePalooza, John Cena faced Brock Lesnar, but Lesnar dominated the match, hitting him with multiple F5s. The match reminded fans of their SummerSlam 2014 encounter, where Cena endured several German suplexes.

Many expected John Cena to challenge Lesnar again, but Cena is now scheduled to face AJ Styles at WWE Crown Jewel later this month. WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray believes a rematch with Lesnar wouldn’t benefit anyone and says it makes more sense for Cena to go after other opponents.

On Busted Open Radio, he said, “It’s pro wrestling, anything can happen, but I think that if John would have faced Brock again, it doesn’t do anything for anybody. Yay! John got a win. Who cares? I’d rather see John beat somebody else than beat Brock. Brock destroyed John already, and that was so Brock can move on. Somebody is going to eventually beat Brock, and it’s going to mean even more because Brock destroyed Cena.” [H/T: WrestlingInc]

While John Cena prepares to face AJ Styles, Brock Lesnar is expected to stay off WWE TV for a while. WWE legend Tommy Dreamer says Lesnar doesn’t need anyone’s help. He stated that with Cena leaving, WWE will lose a major draw and a match between Lesnar and Gunther could give The Ring General a big boost.
