One of the top wrestlers in NXT is the current TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Trick Williams. He’s been a part of the NXT roster for almost four years, as he signed with WWE in 2021. He started as the sidekick of former NXT World Champion Carmelo Hayes.
In a short span, the current TNA World Champion began to shine as a singles star and also captured the NXT World title twice in his career. Hayes, his friend and former tag team partner, is now a part of SmackDown. He has been there for more than a year now. So, when will Williams start to Whoop that Trick on the main roster? Is he ready to be called up?
Trick Williams was recently interviewed on five-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Booker T’s Hall of Fame podcast. During the interview, Williams opened up about being called up to the main roster. The former NXT World Champion shared that he has been ready to move up into the main roster.
He feels like it has been time to move up for a long time. But still, no matter on which brand he is in, he will do everything in his power to make sure that is the hottest show.
“Yesterday could have been soon enough, man. I’ve been ready to make that jump to the red or blue brand for a long time. I feel like it’s that time, I feel like it’s been that time. I feel like people wanna see that. But as for now, wherever I am, I’m just gonna make sure it’s the hottest show,” Trick Williams said. [H/T WrestlingNews.co]
