It looks like there might be a good reason why Chelsea Green is looking for new recruits.
According to a new report from Fightful (via Fightful Select), Piper Niven is currently out with an injury. The outlet says it has been getting questions about Niven’s status recently, and finally confirmed that she is dealing with an injury. It was noted that they don’t know what the specific injury is, but were only told that WWE isn’t sure of the severity of it yet.
Piper Niven has not wrestled since she defeated Charlotte Flair on the August 22 episode of SmackDown. She and Green were originally scheduled to challenge Flair and Alexa Bliss for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on August 29. However, the match was later changed to a singles match where Bliss defeated Green.
Niven was also absent from competing in a September 19 tag team title match with Chelsea Green. Instead, her role went to fellow Secret Her-vice member, Alba Fyre.
After Friday’s match, Chelsea Green posted a message that she was hiring new “Slaygents.” She also explained Niven’s absence from WWE TV. Green claimed that Niven, aka Slaygent P, is “currently out on a top-secret special assignment.” On Monday, Green posted another “hiring announcement,” which was quoted by Niven.
