The TNA Wrestling roster made their presence felt tonight on WWE NXT.
Throughout last week’s Homecoming special, the TNA roster was tweeting various posts of displeasure about not being invited to the NXT Homecoming special at Full Sail University.
This was brought up on commentary multiple times throughout the evening by Vic Joseph, foreshadowing what was to come later in the evening. On the Grayson Waller Effect, a winner-take-all match was set up between Trick Williams and Oba Femi for tonight’s show. The TNA roster once again expressed their frustration over this online.
Teases of tonight’s invasion kicked off almost immediately. As we saw Eric Young, Moose, and Matt Cardona in the parking lot, Trick Williams and Oba Femi made their way into the building this evening.

Mance Warner and Steph De Lander were later seen walking behind Ethan Page backstage. Helping set the stage for what was to come later in the evening.

Later on, during the women’s Speed matchup, Lei Ying Lee AND Xia Brookside were shown walking through the backstage area.

The teases of an invasion continued backstage in the locker room, where you could see Cedric Alexander and Zachary Wentz in the background of the room.

During the six-man tag between DarkState, Chase U, and Joe Hendry, Mike Santana arrived at the building. Santana just walked right inside like he was invited, which makes it all the more hilarious.

This isn’t going to end well…
Before the main event, when Trick Williams made his way to the ring, the Elegance Brand, Steve Maclin, and Moose were shown in the crowd. This was likely done to hammer the point home that this main event wasn’t going to have an actual finish.

Additional members of the TNA roster continued to appear in the crowd throughout the match. Mike Santana would later jump the barricade to have a face-off with Trick Williams before joining the commentary team.

Matt Cardona’s arrival in the crowd got the biggest reaction of the evening. In the closing moments of the main event, Williams and Santana would once again go face-to-face at ringside. This time, Williams slaps Santana across the face, and all hell breaks loose in the ring as the TNA and NXT locker rooms brawl all over the arena.

The closing shot ends with the brawl going on in the background as Ricky Saints and Oba Femi eye each other up for this weekend’s title match at No Mercy.
