Does John Cena Believe Pineapple Belongs On Pizza?

John Cena weighs in on the controversial food topic.

One of the world’s most popular debates centers on pineapple and its belonging, or lack thereof, on pizza. Some people, such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and TNA’s Masha Slamovich, approve of the pizza topping. Others, such as former WWE Champion John Cena, are against it.

While speaking at a Q&A for Fan Expo Boston, Cena explained his personal aversion for pineapple on pizza.

“Man…OK, me personally, would I ever order a pizza with pineapple? My answer is no,” Cena said. “But, gosh, the freedom to create your own pizza? I can’t take that away from someone. So if they want to put pineapple on their pizza, that’s ok, I just probably won’t steal a slice. Here’s a hack, the easiest way for me not to steal your pizza, put some pineapple on it.”

While he surely won’t be eating pizza with pineapple anytime soon, Cena is will be competing in an upcoming match at WWE’s Wrestlepalooza premium live event, airing on ESPN DTC, on September 20. There, he will take on his former rival “The Beast” Brock Lesnar as a part of his ongoing retirement tour.

Given their respective history and differing pizza opinions, fans may also be eager to see Cena square off with The Rock once more. Right now, though, it is unclear if that face-off will materialize before Cena officially hangs up his boots in December.
