MLW has not had a weekly show for some time, but it sounds like that could change soon.
As of now, Major League Wrestling’s primary way to reach its fans is through its live event model and monthly streams on YouTube. The league’s next event, MLW Fightland, takes place on Saturday, September 13, at the Nytex Sports Centre in North Richland Hills, Texas. This model is a departure from how MLW reached fans in the past, as the league previously had a weekly series called MLW Fusion.
According to a new report from Fightful (via Fightful Select), Major League Wrestling is currently in talks about a new weekly series. It was noted that an MLW weekly series is “one of the most requested things they get in terms of feedback” from fans.
MLW Fusion last aired as a weekly series in 2023. The promotion also experimented with a seasonal format for a time as well. Fusion aired on beIN Sports USA from 2018 to 2023, as well as on Fubo Sports Network from 2020–2021, and on YouTube from 2020 to 2023.
On a related note, MLW’s wave of Panini trading cards will hit retail stores, including Walmart and Target, later this year. It was also noted that another wave of cards is expected to launch shortly after the Fightland event on Saturday.
