Will Ospreay says it’s been one of the worst months of his life, but he can always trust Glasgow to cheer him on. Ospreay touches on some previous memories in Scotland. Ospreay says he got some bad news last week due to what Jon Moxley and the Death Riders did to him.
Will says he wasn’t cleared for Forbidden Door last week, so he took matters into his own hands. Ospreay says AEW isn’t responsible for anything that happens to him in the Lights Out steel cage match this weekend. Ospreay says if he can’t be himself after Sunday, he’s leaving everything he has in the ring.
Will says he’s doing this for revenge, and they are going to tear the Death Riders apart at Forbidden Door. Ospreay says before he goes under the knife, he’s going to take his pound of flesh from the Death Riders.
"The Aerial Assassin" is going to leave EVERYTHING in the ring Sunday at #ForbiddenDoor!

The Death Riders are here…
This brings out Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir. Mox and Ospreay go face-to-face as Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta appear at ringside. Ospreay says this Sunday he’s coming for Moxley, so if he wants to get rid of him, don’t let his boys do it… do it himself.
The Death Riders go to attack, but JetSpeed and Hiroshi Tanahashi make the save. This takes us right into our opening contest.
Death Riders (w/ Marina Shafir) vs. JetSpeed and Hiroshi Tanahashi
- The finish of the match saw Hiroshi Tanahashi hit Wheeler Yuta with High Fly Flow to score the pinfall victory for his team.
Winners: JetSpeed and Hiroshi Tanahashi
After the match, all hell breaks loose as Bullet Club: War Dogs, Will Ospreay, the Young Bucks, Darby Allin, Paragon, and The Opps all get involved and proceed to brawl all over the venue. It ends with Allin hitting a Coffin Drop on pretty much everyone.
COFFIN DROP ON EVERYONE!

This was a wild 30 minutes to kick off tonight’s show. The thought of AEW losing Ospreay for the foreseeable future after Sunday freaking sucks, but it can’t be helped. The match itself was good, but everything before and after it essentially meant more than the actual matchup.
The video package plays hyping up the main event of Forbidden Door between Hangman Page and MJF.

Cope and Cage are reunited once again
Tony Schiavone is in the ring and brings out Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, who both come to the ring separately. Cage tries to tell everyone to sit down and shut their mouths, Copeland cuts him off and says not to be that guy right now because all these people love them. Copeland accepts the fact that Cage is an asshole, and sometimes you in this business you need an asshole and Cage is his asshole.

Cage says at All In, Copeland told him to go find himself, and he said he did just that and found himself. Cage says he doesn’t need to change a thing because he’s perfect just the way he is. Christian says he and Copeland aren’t on the same page, but they’re at least writing in the same book.
Cage says this is a reunion out of necessity and that Copeland will help him with his Nick Wayne problem, and he will help Cope with his FTR problem. Christian promises to be the best tag partner Copeland has ever had.
The agreement? @Christian4Peeps helps @RatedRCope with FTR and Cope helps Christian Cage with Nick Wayne + Kip Sabian.

This brings out Kip Sabian and Mother Wayne. Sabian calls Cage pathetic. Nick Wayne appears on the Tron on crutches and reveals that he was injured last week. Wayne won’t be competing at Forbidden Door, but says he’s always one step ahead.
Luchasaurus (Killswitch) makes his return and chokeslams Copeland and Cage. He will team with Sabian this Sunday at Forbidden Door.

MJF needs some help…
Backstage, MJF approaches Ricochet and GOA and wants to conduct business, and asks for help in taking out Mark Briscoe tonight. Ricochet agrees. They go to talk about their plan before they tell the cameraman to get lost.
Has a new deal really been struck between @KingRicochet and @The_MJF?! ?

This means both teams will face The Hurt Syndicate this Sunday at Forbidden Door for the AEW World Tag Team Titles.
After the match, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin come out on the stage and taunt both teams by holding their titles in the air.
Grade: A
These four men told an incredible story in that ring tonight. I must say that I was surprised by the time limit draw. This also seemingly protects The Hurt Syndicate this weekend as they can drop the titles without being pinned. It will be very interesting to see what happens in this match on Sunday.
The Hangman cometh…
AEW World Champion Hangman Page makes his way to the ring to speak to the crowd. Page says last week he was jumped from behind in the parking lot by MJF. Page says that’s how Friedman likes to handle things. Hangman says he knows it’s a waste of time to call MJF out because he’s an immature and gutless coward.
Hangman says this will be the only opportunity MJF gets at the AEW World Championship, and at Forbidden Door, he’s going to shove his bobot up MJF’s ass. Friedman’s music plays, but he doesn’t come out. Schiavone says MJF wants to speak to him, but he can’t leave the ring.
MJF comes on the Tron with Ricochet and GOA. Friedman says Hangman needs to accept his three stipulations for his match at Forbidden Door, or he’s going to light Mark Briscoe on fire.
- The title can change hands via DQ
- The title can change hands via countout
- MJF doesn’t have to put up his contract to get his title shot
MJF gives Page til the count of five, and Page agrees at four. Friedman congratulates Hangman on still being the hero. Page storms backstage to find MJF as the show goes to commercial.

After the commercial, Page finds Ricochet backstage and lays him out with a steel chair and asks where MJF is. Security tells him that MJF already left, and Page takes the security guard out as well, for good measure.

Toni Storm is checked on at ringside by the medics as the commentary team implies she could have a neck injury as AEW Dynamite goes off the air.
AEW Dynamite Review:
For the most part, I really enjoyed this show. But AEW figuring out a cute way to keep MJF’s stupid contract in play got on my last nerve. I hate this concept in AEW. It’s such a WWE-like crutch and not something other companies need to be doing.
You could argue that the Money in the Bank contract has already outlived its welcome in wrestling, so for AEW to do their own take on it is incredibly frustrating. If we take that out of the show, I really have no complaints, but that is a BIG one as far as I’m concerned.
It won’t take away my enjoyment of Sunday’s show, but I really wish wrestling companies in general would stop using stupid crutches to get over their terrible storyline ideas.
