Why is Danhausen still on AEW‘s roster page?
It was reported earlier this summer that Danhausen’s contract with AEW was set to expire in July. But with August almost over and him still listed on the company’s official roster page, clearly something changed. So what’s going on between the two sides?
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), Danhausen’s AEW contract was set to expire on July 1. However, months were added to his contract due to injury time, which keeps him with the company until 2026.
Sapp states Danhausen had requested the company not to pick up this option if they didn’t have anything creative for him, but they did anyway. He hasn’t appeared for the company since his surprise spot at Ring of Honor Final Battle last year.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on his AEW status as it becomes available.
