AEW star Tony Nese is now working as a backstage producer.
According to Fightful Select reports that “The Premier Athlete” Tony Nesehas been serving as a coach and agent in the company for some time. He was listed for a match on AEW Collision last Saturday. Sources confirmed that Nese has been working as a coach and agent for quite some time, though this role wasn’t publicly known until now.
In the past two years, Nese has wrestled less often but continues to appear regularly on Ring of Honor TV alongside longtime tag team partner Ariya Daivari. With two decades of experience, he has competed across the independent circuit, TNA, WWE, and AEW.

Tony Nese, who has been wrestling for Ring of Honor, last competed at ROH Supercard of Honor 2025 Zero Hour on 11th July, 2025. He teamed with Ariya Daivari as The Premier Athletes but lost to The Von Erichs.
His most recent AEW match was on 5th March 2025, on Collision taping. There, The Outrunners defeated Nese and Daivari in a tag team match. Lately, Nese has been more active in ROH than AEW. Now, as a producer, he will use his experience to help other wrestlers improve and produce their matches.
