Could heel Nikki Bella make a comeback?
Last week, WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella confronted WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, and in doing so, called her a disappointment and a liar within the WWE women’s division. In response, Lynch took a verbal shot at Nikki’s famous breakup with John Cena. When Nikki then called for a Women’s IC Title match, Lynch additionally sucker-punched her in the face.
Following this series of events, some fans are now calling for Nikki to bring out the heel version of herself previously seen in 2015.
“Someone commented, ‘Nikki, you’re an OG. You can’t keep having people punch you like you not that girl. I’m about tired of this.” Oh well, your girl’s just warming up,” Nikki said on The Nikki & Brie Show. “Someone else wrote, ‘I need Nikki to bring back her heel Divas champ vibe back.’ Just keep watching. That’s all I can say, okay? Just keep watching.”
As of now, it has yet to be seen if the more aggressive and calculating side of Nikki will come out on WWE television. Likewise, WWE has yet to confirm if her proposed Women’s Intercontinental Championship match against Lynch will materialize on some platform, such as WWE Clash In Paris on August 31.
This week, Lynch successfully defended her title against Maxxine Dupri on WWE Raw, then proclaimed that the current division was hers. Nikki, a former WWE Divas Champion, did not appear in either part.
