RFK Jr.’s Niece Recently Had A WWE Tryout

Zoe Hines recently tried out to be a WWE Superstar. You might not be familiar with her name right now, but you’ve probably heard of her uncle, Robert F. Kennedy Jr..

The Disruptionist’s Matt Binder published a new story that revealed the connection between Hines and RFK Jr., the current United States Secretary of Health and Human Services. Zoe is the daughter of Rebecca Hines, who is the sister of RFK Jr.’s wife, Curb Your Enthusiasm actress Cheryl Hines. That would make RFK Jr. Zoe’s uncle by marriage.

Zoe Hines played softball for Boston College and now plays overseas in France. Her name was mentioned on a list of everyone who received a tryout during SummerSlam in New Jersey. That list includes names like LJ Clearly, “Big Trouble” Ben Bishop, and Vert Vixen. However, Hines’ familial ties went unnoticed until now.

“Grateful for the opportunity, the experience, and the people. Honored to represent @wwe at the 2025 SummerSlam Tryout,” Zoe wrote on her Instagram account. Photographs also showed that Cheryl Hines was in attendance at the WWE tryout in support of her niece.

WWE invites athletes from all walks of life to try out for the company. More have done so since implementing the company’s NIL program. As Binder pointed out, Hines has no wrestling experience or training, and was one of the first six names invited to the tryout.

Binder went on to point out the connection between RFK Jr. and Levesque. Both met in June to discuss the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition. Last week, Triple H was also in attendance during President Trump’s executive order signing ceremony. The order will allow Kennedy to “expand on his council on sports, fitness and nutrition” and reintroduce the Presidential Fitness Test in public schools.

Despite a hugely successful SummerSlam weekend, WWE has still received criticism for its connections to the Trump administration and for choosing to bring Brock Lesnar back. The promotion also opted to cancel its PLE post-show press conferences. This is a move that some have speculated was to cut down on questions related to both of those stories.
