Triple H says Brock Lesnar’s shocking return at SummerSlam 2025 completely changed the atmosphere in the WWE.
Brock Lesnar returned to WWE after a two-year absence and immediately went after his longtime rival, John Cena, following a brutal Street Fight at WWE SummerSlam. In the main of the show, Cena lost his WWE Undisputed title to Cody Rhodes. After the match, Cena handed Rhodes the title and the two shared a hug in a respectful moment.
Cena stayed in the ring to acknowledge the fans, who gave him a standing ovation for his final match at WWE SummerSlam. Just as he was about to leave, Brock Lesnar’s music hit. He made his way to the ring while Cena looked on in shock. Lesnar circled the ring, removed his vest and hat, entered the ring and dropped him with an F5.
Speaking on the WWE SummerSlam post-show press conference, Triple H said the fans reaction was exactly what he expected after Brock Lesnar’s return.
“My reaction was exactly what I thought it was gonna be, which was: if there had been a roof on this place, it wouldn’t be here anymore. Yeah, you know, the dynamic in the room. If you wanna say the WWE, the dynamic changes when The Beast is here.”
“You know, seeing Brock Lesnar come back anything that you thought was happening sort of all goes out the window, because the factor of Brock now just changes that dynamic so incredibly. It makes it unpredictable.”
Following this, fans began chanting “We want Kross.” The Game paused, then mistakenly responded, “You want Brock? You got him.”
