Mercedes Moné set to return on AEW Dynamite as “8 Belts Moné” next week at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
The current AEW TBS Champion hasn’t returned to TV since she appeared at the company’s biggest show of the year, AEW All In: Texas. At All In: Texas, Toni Storm handed her the first loss of her AEW career in a match for the Women’s World Championship.
After her loss, Mercedes Moné stayed quiet in AEW, but she made big news outside the company this week. She went from “6 Belts Moné” to “8 Belts Moné” by winning a Winner Takes All main event at a Prime Time Wrestling show in Koszalin, Poland.
Moné beat Diana Strong to become the first-ever Prime Time Wrestling Women’s Champion and the first BestYa Wrestling Women’s Champion. Moné now holds eight championships across different promotions. The company confirmed her return during AEW Collision this week. She’ll be back on Dynamite next Wednesday in Cleveland.
After the announcement, Mercedes Moné took to X, formerly known as Twitter, writing, “See y’all next week @AEW and you better say hello to your #CEO 8 Belts Moné.” It’ll be interesting to see what she says when she returns.
Will she address her loss to Toni Storm and set her sights on the AEW Women’s Champion? For now, Storm is set to face Athena at Forbidden Door, a match confirmed by Athena during Collision this week.
