Triple H Comments On WWE Doing More Hulk Hogan Tributes

WWE has paid tribute to Hulk Hogan on three different television shows this week. Will it continue?

Triple H appeared on WFAN this week to promote WWE SummerSlam weekend. During the conversation, hosts BT and Sal asked about Hulk Hogan‘s death and how WWE has continued to pay tribute to the late wrestling icon. The tributes have been well done and focused on his in-ring achievements. However, Hogan’s in-ring accomplishments have been marred by the controversy surrounding his racist remark scandal.

Triple H responded to being asked if WWE will continue to pay homage to Hogan at future events, like SummerSlam this weekend. The WWE CCO said they are aware of Hogan being a controversial topic, but they are trying to be cognizant of that while also finding the right way to handle things.

“We’re working through the show now and it comes down to finding the right mix. I think you just mentioned it while I was getting mic’d up here: what is the right level of respect? Obviously you can’t tribute enough as his accomplishments in WWE or in wrestling in general,” Triple H explained. “You could make the argument that none of us would be here in this industry without him. The rise of Hulk Hogan in the ‘80s really catapulted the business to a new level. It’s not without its controversy, so we want to be aware of that. We’re making those decisions in real time, I think just like everybody else is.”
