Report: Update On Ortiz’s AEW Status

What’s going on with Ortiz and All Elite Wrestling?

Former Inner Circle member Ortiz hasn’t been seen on AEW programming since getting injured in a tag match on Collision in January 2024. That night, he and Eddie Kingston lost to Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli.

Ortiz returned to action in March of 2025 for Alpha-1 Wrestling but has yet to return to AEW programming. So what’s the latest on his status with the company?

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), he’s still with the company and has been cleared to compete there. He’s just not currently being used.

The former Proud & Powerful teammate has only competed in an AEW ring three times in the last two years. When you compare that to the five times he’s competed this year since being cleared in March is rather mind-blowing.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on Ortiz’s AEW status as it becomes available.
