A Second El Grande Americano Has Debuted On WWE RAW

El Grande Americano continues to keep everyone guessing what his their next move will be.

This week’s episode of WWE RAW featured Judgment Day’s Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh defending the World Tag Team Championship against LWO’s Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro. During the match, El Grande Americano ran to the ringside area to distract the LWO. Dragon Lee evened the odds and fought Americano as they made their way backstage.

However, a second El Grande Americano showed up moments later, pulling Cruz Del Toro off the top rope. This led to Finn Balor picking up the win for his team, which meant Judgment Day retained their titles.

El Grande Americano’s identity has been a running gag on WWE TV for several months. Chad Gable originally played him, but the story was that Gable denied being the man in the mask. Gable has since been sidelined due to an injury, and another man recently took on the El Grande Americano identity in Gable’s absence. Many fans immediately caught on that Ludwig Kaiser was under the mask, as was the case on Monday night.

It didn’t take too long to figure out the identity of the latest El Grande Americano (the second one to appear on Monday night). Many fans pointed out that Pete Dunne was the second Americano, a decision that was met with a mixed response. Chad Gable’s injury obviously threw a wrench into WWE’s plans for the character, but the changing identity element has provided some laughs. However, it’s unclear how long WWE will keep the gag going.
