It would appear that Travis Scott’s relationship with WWE has taken a turn.
Travis Scott was featured in several major spots on WWE TV earlier this year. He joined Jey Uso for his entrance on WWE RAW. Scott followed it up with an appearance at WWE Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 41, getting physically involved in the former. Scott, John Cena and The Rock attacked Cody Rhodes in the ring in Las Vegas. This led to speculation that Scott would compete in a match later this year.
However, that match never materialized. Now it looks like a rift between the two sides led to him being pulled from WWE 2K25. According to F4WOnline.com’s Dave Meltzer (via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter), Travis Scott was originally scheduled to be the celebrity surprise included in one of the DLC packs revealed this month. Scott’s inclusion was expected, but not yet confirmed publicly.

That plan appears to have changed, however, due to the reported “falling out” between the two sides. It was noted that “the nature of which hasn’t gotten out yet, but it’s why it’s open season to knock him.” This would explain why Logan Paul recently said Scott was fickle with his wrestling training, and Drew McIntyre called the rapper a “piece of shit” for ruining the WrestleMania 41 main event.
According to Meltzer, the decision was made for El Grande Americano to replace Scott, advertised as a Mystery Celebrity DLC addition, in the New Wave DLC pack. In addition, Scott was replaced by Aleister Black in the WrestleMania 41 DLC pack (despite Black not appearing at the aforementioned event).
Sources close to the situation relayed that fans would rather have wrestlers in the game than celebrities. However, the belief from the gaming side is that celebrities open up the game to a broader audience. This would bring in more potential fans than a “non-marquee” wrestler.
