A major bout is set for next Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.
Last night on Dynamite, Adam Page came down to the ring to address Jon Moxley and The Death Riders following Claudio Castagnoli versus Mark Briscoe. The Hangman challenged Mox to face him for the AEW World Championship, with one condition.
The stipulation is that everyone except for the competitors and the referee will be banned from ringside. That means no Death Riders, no Opps, just Hangman and Mox without interference for the AEW World Championship live on Dynamite next week.
Page defeated Wheeler Yuta in a non-title opener last night on AEW Dynamite. After the match, the Hangman assaulted Yuta with a steel chain but decided against choking him with a weapon — contrary to what The Death Riders did to Colt Cabana this past week on AEW Collision.
Adam Page and Jon Moxley collided last week on AEW Dynamite
Adam Page defeated Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at All In: Texas on July 12. These two men met again in six-man tag team action on the following Dynamite. Page got the win for his team with a small package on Castagnoli.
After the match, The Death Riders jumped Page, Briscoe and Hobbs. Darby Allin showed up on the arena balcony, allowing the champion to hit a distracted Mox with a Buckshot Lariat. Darby lost his world title opportunity to Moxley on AEW Dynamite Grand Slam 2024.
It remains to be seen if Forbidden Door hosts a bout between these two bitter rivals.
