Report: The Rock’s Current WWE Return Status Revealed

A new update has come in about The Rock’s return ahead of WWE SummerSlam.

The Final Boss hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since Elimination Chamber, where he gave the signal to John Cena to attack Cody Rhodes. After that, fans expected him to show up at WrestleMania 41 during the match between Cena and Rhodes, but that never happened.

Since then, WWE hasn’t explained why John Cena attacked Cody Rhodes after The Rock gave the signal. After skipping WrestleMania 41, The Rock said he wanted the spotlight on Cena during his retirement tour. But months have passed, and WWE has brought up The Final Boss’s name several times.

With the WrestleMania 41 rematch happening at SummerSlam next week, fans have started guessing if The Rock might return. Their speculation grew after Cody Rhodes appeared on last Friday’s WWE SmackDown. Cody Rhodes was seen wearing similar glasses to The Rock, as well as a watch that looked just like the one The Final Boss wore on Instagram during his return earlier this year.

While the speculation is running wild among fans, it doesn’t look like The Rock will be at WWE SummerSlam. According to Corey Hays from BodySlam.net, WWE has no current plans for The Final Boss to return not on TV anytime soon. Hays posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, “Internally, there is no indication that The Rock is scheduled to return to WWE in the near future.”

Plans are always subject to change, but it sounds like The Rock won’t be back on WWE TV soon.
