AEW has brought in a number of wrestling legends in coaching role over the years.
According to Tony Khan, pro wrestling legend Kevin Von Erich is currently working as a coach with the promotion.
“Kerry was the first wrestler from the Von Erichs that I saw as a kid when he was called the Texas Tornado,” Khan told The Hollywood Reporter in the lead-up to AEW All In: Texas. “The Von Erichs have a great history. Kevin works with us now [as a coach], and his sons [Marshall and Ross] are part of AEW. They’re also champions.”
Kevin, 68, is the sole surviving brother of the Von Erichs. The family is one of pro wrestling’s greatest families with arguably the most tragic history, as three of Kevin’s siblings, Kerry, David, and Mike Von Erich, each died at an early age.
