WWE’s New Female Referee Identified

WWE‘s newest female referee has taken to social media to confirm her identity after going viral during WWE Evolution.

At WWE’s all-female show over the weekend, fans online were quick to point out a new referee, who was present for the NXT Women’s Championship match. The referee, Vicky D’Errico, took to X shortly after to confirm it was her. The match was D’Errico’s official debut as a referee with the company.

D’Errico has been with WWE since last year, and has been working toward her spot in the ring, but went viral over the weekend. In another post on the night of Evolution, WWE Head Referee Darryl Sharma congratulated Vicky on her job at Evolution.

D’Errico is no stranger to the world of fighting. Prior to her role as a WWE referee, D’Errico was previously a professional boxer. She fought for Barstool Sports’ Rough N’ Rowdy promotion, and had an undefeated record with the company, winning the Women’s Middleweight title.

She’ll now join a pair of other referees, Jessika Carr and Daphne LaShaun, as the only three active female referees in the company. Although the field has predominantly been dominated by men, more and more women have been appearing as officials throughout WWE’s content.
