Naomi Sets New Record With WWE Women’s Title Win At Evolution 2

Naomi broke an unexpected record with her Women’s World Championship victory at WWE Evolution 2.

At Evolution 2, Naomi made a run-in during the closing moments between IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship. The real-life Trinity Fatu shocked the world by successfully cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase on SKY.

A fan pointed out on social media that Naomi broke a surprising record that was previously held by a fellow WWE Superstar by winning the women’s world title at Evolution. Twitter/X user @TiffanyLuv24 said Naomi broke Nataya’s record of longest gap between world title reigns with her shocking win last night.

Natalya went 6 years, 6 months and 36 days between her two respective title reigns in WWE. Natalya won the WWE Divas Championship from Michelle McCool at Survivor Series 2010. Her next title win came when she won the WWE Women’s World Championship (then called the SmackDown Women’s Championship) at SummerSlam 2017.

Naomi has now broken that record, as her Evolution title win was her first singles title reign since winning the SmackDown Women’s title at WrestleMania 33 in 2017.
