AEW Dynamite Viewership Decreases On 7/2, Demo Rises

AEW Dynamite saw a decrease in viewership on July 2 for the 300th episode of the program.

According to Wrestlenomics, 584,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.16 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode, when 613,000 viewers tuned in. The demo rose slightly from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.15 rating in the same demographic.

Viewership for Wednesday’s show on MAX is unknown at this time.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with a promo from Hangman Page, who demanded his match with Jon Moxley at All In: Texas be made a Texas Death Match. Moxley turned him down at first, but eventually agreed.

Mercedes Moné defeated Mina Shirakawa to retain the TBS Championship. Mercedes attacked Toni Storm from behind after the match with her title.

MJF won a four-way match over AR Fox, Anthony Bowens, and Brody King to earn the number two entrant in the Men’s Casino Gauntlet match.

In the main event of the evening, Kazuchika Okada defeated Kota Ibushi. This led to the return of Kenny Omega after the matchup.
