Liv Morgan won’t be attending an upcoming convention following her injury in a match.
Morgan was originally set to appear at this weekend’s Fantatics Fest, but according to the convention on social media, the star will no longer be attending the show. In their post, the show wished Morgan a speedy recovery, and said they’d be ready to welcome her back next year.
The announcement comes following Morgan disclocating her shoulder this past week. Early on in her match against Kairi Sane Monday night, Sane gave Morgan a simple takedown maneuver. Morgan used her arms to cushion the fall, but in doing so, she suffered a dislocated shoulder, and the match was stopped.
A report from Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp noted that Morgan will likely require surgery for the injury. While not confirmed, the report mentions Morgan will miss “a number of months.” This will also cause a “significant creative reshuffling” within the programs she was set to be in.
Typically, a dislocated shoulder can basically take anywhere between four to twelve weeks to heal. But a full recovery can take as long as six months. Morgan was rumored to be in line to work with Nikki Bella at WWE Evolution next month. That match likely would have seen Morgan teaming with Raquel Rodriguez against Nikki and a tag team partner.
