When it comes to the comedic wrestlers, they tend to make their opponents break character. Stars like R-Truth have made some of the toughest wrestlers to break character. Talents such as Damian Priest and even the Beast, Brock Lesnar. Recently, one of the popular comedy gimmicks, the Director of Authority for TNA, Santino Marella, revealed which wrestler he couldn’t make break character.
During his interview with Chris Van Vliet on the Insight podcast, Santino Marella shared that there were some guys whom he couldn’t make break character. Marella shared his experience with WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry. The first time the two were backstage before their match, Henry had asked the former WWE Intercontinental Champion to protect himself. This startled Marella but then Henry laughed and mentioned that he was just playing.
“Well, it’s funny, because some guys like, for example, Mark Henry backstage, spitting out his water laughing when he goes out there, he’s flicks that switch and he would not break character on TV. He is scary when he’s out there. He scared the hell out of me once in gorilla just by saying, ‘Hey, just so you know, when I go out there, I’m indestructible, protect yourself.’ I was like, Oh my God, what’s about to happen? Then he’s like, ‘I’m just messing with you, man.’ I’m like, don’t do that,” Santino Marella said.
