WWE has multiple shows nowadays including the newest one, WWE Evolve. The main goal of the developmental show is to groom talent and prepare them for NXT and then eventually the main roster. Recently, former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Natalya was at one of the tapings of the show.
While speaking on a recent episode of the Busted Open Radio, Natalya revealed that she had asked WWE CCO Triple H and the other higher-ups if she could go to EVOLVE because she is highly interested in what is happening at the show.
“I was at an EVOLVE taping because I asked WWE, I asked Hunter and the powers that be if I can go to EVOLVE. Because I really am interested in what they’re doing at EVOLVE…,” Natalya said. [H/T Fightful.com]
Natalya reflects on her match against Kenzie Paige
Natalya had recently wrestled NWA’s Kenzie Paige at the NWA Crockett Cup. During the same episode of Busted Open Radio, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion shared that she gave Paige the ‘Nattie Rub’ just like how she gave it to 14-time WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.
“I did for Kenzie what I’ve done for many in the industry,” Natalya said. “If I’m going to talk the talk, I’m going to remind you of the walk that I’ve walked. Look at Charlotte Flair. Charlotte wasn’t able to be Charlotte until I brought out a different side of her. I was able to do that. I gave Charlotte the Nattie Rub.
“Charlotte is a very close friend of mine, and I love her and respect the sh*t out of Charlotte, but she talks about it all the time. When I had that match with her at TakeOver in 2014, I brought out a different side of her, a side of her that she didn’t know existed. I did the same thing for Kenzie. Kenzie is in her early 20s and she got to understand about who the fu*k I am.”
