AEW Dynamite Results:
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite kicks off with Tony Schiavone in the ring, who brings out Hangman Page and Will Ospreay. Ospreay says he understands why security is out there, but he promises he’s not going to get physical, and Hangman says he won’t either, so Ospreay excuses them. Ospreay asks Hangman if he still drinks and apologizes for accidentally hitting him in their tag match, and tries to present a peace offering of some beers.
Hangman takes the beer, but doesn’t drink it. They both put the beers down. Ospreay says he’s out there to petition Tony Khan and the board of directors that they should be the main event this weekend. Ospreay says the winner of their match has the responsibility of bringing back the big gold belt.

Will Ospreay talks about his travel schedule and believes he’s done things the right way. Ospreay says he wants to wear that championship and bring it home this summer at Forbidden Door. Ospreay wants his six-year-old son to look at him as the AEW World Champion. Will says he knows how much Hangman wants it, but he wants it just a little bit more.
Will Ospreay wants this, Hangman needs this
Hangman says that’s the difference between them: Ospreay wants this, but he needs this. Hangman says for Ospreay, it’s a professional accomplishment, but for him, it’s personal. Page says he’s wasted two years of his life, and he’s been filled with grief, sorrow, and hate. Hangman says he needs his wife to look at him and not see pity. He wants his kids to look up to him and know he’s the father they deserve.
Page says he needs to know that there’s some kind of light at the end of this two-year tunnel from hell. Ospreay asks Hangman what he plans to do about it and questions if he’s gonna hit him with a chair or put him in a hospital and end his career like he did to Christopher Daniels.

Ospreay says on Sunday, he’s going to show up and do his best. Will says if he loses, he’s going to do things the right way and he wants the people’s respect and trust. Hangman wants to know if that would be enough to take down Jon Moxley. Ospreay says he doesn’t know, he’s wrestled Mox twice and lost. Ospreay says Hangman has beaten him, so if he can beat him at Double or Nothing, he knows he can beat Mox.
Will Ospreay says if Hangman beats him at Double or Nothing, he will have his back against Jon Moxley and the Death Riders at All In, and he hopes he would do the same for him. Go out of your way to watch this segment, no written recap can truly do this justice.
The Death Riders arrive…
Outside, we see Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir arrive at the building. Moxley says tensions are rising in AEW and the spoils will go to those who embrace the anarchy.
Jon Moxley and the Young Bucks (w/ Marina Shafir) vs. Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Swerve Strickland (w/ Prince Nana)
- The finish of the match saw Samoa Joe choke out Nick Jackson to allow Swerve Strickland to get the pinfall victory on Matt Jackson.
Winners: Swerve Strickland, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Samoa Joe
The Death Riders attack after the match. This leads to the return of Katsuyori Shibata. He cleans house before being taken down with a Marina Shafir low blow. This brings out Willow Nightingale, who hits Shafir with The Pounce. Kenny Omega joins the fray, taking everyone out with Dragon Suplexes and hitting Matt Jackson with the V-Trigger. Omega was going to put Matt through a table with the One Winged Angel, but Castagnoli saves Jackson and they escape.

Samoa Joe gets on the microphone and says a sane man would be fine waiting for Sunday, but he’s not a sane man. They are coming for the Death Riders tonight, whether they like it or not.
Grade: A+
Between the opening segment and this trios match, you couldn’t ask for a better start to Dynamite tonight. It was a fantastic matchup, and it really helped set the stage for Anarchy in the Arena this weekend.
Will MJF finally join The Hurt Syndicate tonight?
We get a quick backstage segment featuring The Hurt Syndicate with their lawyer and MJF with his lawyer, Smart Mark Sterling. MJF has a new suit for the occasion. He’s very excited about signing his contract with the group later tonight.
It's a time for celebration as @The_MJF puts pen to paper, officially becoming the 4th member of The Hurt Syndicate.

After the commercial break, The Hurt Syndicate make their way to the ring for the contract signing. MVP says tonight they will officially induct their fourth member into the group. MVP brings out MJF.
MJF says it’s such a shame that such a monumental moment has to take place in a city that everyone forgets exists. Smart Mark Sterling says they have made sure the contract benefits both sides, and MJF will sign first, followed by the other three members to make things official.
After a bunch of delays, everyone signs the contract, and it’s official. Before MJF can celebrate, Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara come out and interrupt. Rhodes tells MVP he better watch out for MJF because he’s a snake in the grass.
Dustin Rhodes runs down the history of Double or Nothing and how they changed the wrestling world. Rhodes says they have earned this title match, and he dares The Hurt Syndicate to hurt him. Rhodes says there’s nothing they can do to him that bigger and better haven’t already done.
Dustin says if he were a betting man, he’d bet on the day one guys this Sunday. I personally wouldn’t, but A for effort.
"The Natural" @DustinRhodes and @SammyGuevara are not scared of The Hurt Syndicate before they challenge for the AEW World Tag Team Championships!

After the match, Mark Briscoe attacks Ricochet with a stretcher.

Fun match. You knew the outcome well ahead of time, with Ricochet having a match this weekend and Bowens not. They also protected Bowens with the use of the scissors, so nothing wrong with that finish.
Mercedes Moné and Jamie Hayter go face-to-face on AEW Dynamite
Renee Paquette is in the ring and brings out Jamie Hayter and Mercedes Moné. Paquette asks Hayter if she’s the underdog in this match, and Hayter says if she’s the underdog, so be it. Hayter says she’s not an obnoxious CEO, and she doesn’t walk around AEW like she’s the best thing since sliced bread.

Hayter says the match this weekend means more to her than it does to Mercedes. Jamie says this weekend is about more than a title match, it’s about not being forgotten. Moné says she’s not worried about this weekend. Moné says Hayter thinks she has her all figured out, but she doesn’t. Mercedes calls herself the Beyoncé of women’s wrestling.
Moné says she’s not looking past Hayter, she’s looking right through her. Moné says she’s the greatest TBS Champion of all time, and she didn’t get it by luck. She got it through hard work and dedication. Moné says at Double or Nothing, she’ll show Hayter why they call her the CEO.
Moné says Double or Nothing isn’t going to be where Hayter’s chapter begins, it will be where it ends. Hayter brings up the fact that Mercedes lost the New Japan STRONG Women’s Championship. Hayter says Moné’s destiny is to lose everything.
It's finally come to blows between @MercedesVarnado and @jmehytr ahead of their @Owen_Foundation Final match THIS SUNDAY at #AEWDoN, but the brawl has attracted the AEW Women's World Champion!

Moné flips out and attacks Hayter. But Hayter retaliates and hits Mercedes with Hayterade. Timeless Toni Storm and Luther come out. Storm will be on commentary for the main event.
It’s time… for the main event!
Mina Shirakawa vs. Julia Hart
- The finish of the match saw Mina Shirakawa lock Julia Hart with a capture pin to score the pinfall victory.
Winner: Mina Shirakawa
After the match, Hart attacks Shirakawa from behind, but Shirakawa gets the better of her and locks Hart in a figure-four. This brings out Skye Blue, who attacks Shirakawa. This brings Toni Storm into the ring, who evens the odds, and they take both women out.
Shirakawa and Storm have a tug of war over the title, and things get heated. Shirakawa puts Storm in a figure-four around the ring post, and the referees have to break it up.
Grade: B+
It’s time for some Anarchy!
Backstage, Renee Paquette catches up with the Young Bucks, who are trying to leave the building. They make fun of Samoa Joe for threatening them, but nothing happened. Joe attacks the Bucks with a garbage can, and all hell breaks loose backstage between the two teams.
They all fight to the ringside area, and there is just way too much chaos everywhere to recap it. Team AEW had things well in hand until Gabe Kidd got involved and everything flipped. The Young Bucks did diving elbow drops from the top rope to put Swerve and Omega through tables at ringside as AEW Dynamite goes off the air.
He's back! @GabeKidd0115 helps turn the tide for The Death Riders and the @YoungBucks!

AEW Dynamite Review:
This was a very strong go-home show for AEW. They started hot and ended hot. This was a great show utilized to entice people to order Sunday’s pay-per-view, and I think they did a tremendous job tonight. Really great show!
