Shaq Had A Really Interesting Observation About 2009 Randy Orton

2009 Randy Orton seems to have achieved cult status.

The Viper had one of the best runs of his WWE career in 2009. It all started with a punt kick to Vince McMahon on an episode of RAW in January 2009. The assault kicked off what is now considered the pinnacle of Randy Orton-Triple H feud. Orton won the 2009 Royal Rumble but fell short of defeating his former mentor for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XXV. Fans (including this writer) absolutely hated the main event as well as the outcome.

The feud delivered some notable moments, including the Randy Orton and Stephanie McMahon kissing angle, which remains WWE’s most viewed YouTube video to date with 322 million views. Orton did manage to beat Hunter for the title in a six-man tag team match at Backlash 2009. He’d retain the WWE Championship in a triple threat match against John Cena and Triple H at July’s WWE Night of Champions pay-per-view event.

Shaq paid compliment to Randy Orton’s butt

Since we’re on the subject of July, Shaquille O’Neal had a really interesting observation about 2009 Randy Orton following Shaq’s appearance on the July 27, 2009 episode of Monday Night RAW. Shaq was the guest host that night. His appearance led to the infamous segment where Chris Jericho dropped the “I automatically assumed it was Kobe Bryant” line. Shaq also got into an altercation with Jericho’s tag team partner, The Big Show.

After the appearance, the NBA legend had dropped a tweet to compliment The Viper for having “da sexiest white man butt ive seen next 2 steve nash.”

The post seems to have resurfaced on Twitter/X because… 2009 Randy Orton is always a hot topic, and what goes on the Internet stays on the Internet.
