Josh Alexander made the controversial decision to align himself with Don Callis in AEW.
All Elite Wrestling‘s Josh Alexander was a recent guest on the Battleground Podcast. When asked to explain his decision to join up with Don Callis and the Don Callis Family, Alexander said he knows Callis is an acquired taste, but he’s a genius when it comes to pro wrestling.
“When it comes to Don, no stranger to Don, we worked together in the past in TNA and stuff,” Josh Alexander said. “He’s an acquired taste, I’ll say that, but he is a genius when it comes to pro wrestling. Coming into a new landscape, a lot of people are already established. And a lot of people are already in their groups and stuff like that.
“I realized that I needed to join forces with some people to really get ahead; I think I made the best choice. I think Don made the best choice because he’s the one that came to me and recruited me real fast, and I jumped at the opportunity. It was something I wanted even coming into AEW. I just never thought it might materialize at all or even this fast.” [H/T: Fightful]
