During Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, the company unveiled a new theme song for the show, provided by popular Canadian rock band Sum 41.
Tonight’s show opened with the song “You Wanted War” from the band, providing the new sound for the show. The song itself comes from Sum 41’s Heaven :x: Hell, its eighth and final studio album, released in March 2024.

Prior to turning to Sum 41, the previous theme song for AEW Dynamite was The Pointer Sisters’ “I’m So Excited.” In a post on social media, Tony Khan confirmed the news, saying the show would be kicking off with the new opening theme. He also thanked Sum 41 in the post.
Tonight’s episode of Dynamite featured two eliminator matches, Ricochet and the Young Bucks taking on Swerve Strickland, Mark Briscoe, and Speedball Mike Bailey, and Samoa Joe goes one-on-one with Claudio Castagnoli.
What do you think? Are you a fan of the new AEW Dynamite theme song? Do you like Sum 41, or think another song should be used? If so, what song do you think should have been chosen? Let us know in the comments below.
Thanks to @Sum41
